The ATV has been a tradition in our family for almost 15 years and it continues to bring us together. I can remember being 4 years old and riding with my mom along the trails of the Cumberland Mountains. When my brother and I received our ATVs and could ride on our own, the family's visits to Tennessee became more frequent.
My fondest memories are of growing up riding ATVs in the mountains with my brother and cousins. Our family is originally from Dayton, Ohio and we loved the mountains so much that we drove all the way to Tennessee to ride our ATVs. However, the drive was always worth it because nothing compares to the riding that the Cumberland Mountains has to offer.
Later on when we (my cousins, brother, and I) became teenagers and brought our friends down to the mountains to ride, we made some hysterical memories that I will cherish forever. Splashing through creeks and racing each other on trails are some of the many things that we grew to love. Though touring the beautiful mountaintops by day and sitting around the campfire at night was the daily agenda, there was always a new relationship forming or an old relationship becoming stronger. That is specifically what I love about this sport and the mountains, because it brings people together in a way that I cannot explain. As a family, we never had problems having a blast with our ATVs — we only ran into obstacles when it came to finding places to stay and to park our bikes.
After dealing with the issues of hotels and places to park, we realized that we needed to do something. Then the idea of an ATV ranch was born and Ride Royal Blue Resort got its humble beginnings. We wanted to create a safe haven for ATV enthusiasts and their vehicles (of all kinds), where they could feel safe to ride and play at their leisure. Rideroyalblue.com is designed entirely for the all-terrain vehicle enthusiast. Our cabins are even designed so that the riders can drive their ATVs directly up to their cabin.
Whether with family or friends, I can assure you that your memories here will last a lifetime. Our family wants to help you create a wonderful Ride Royal Blue history of your own here at our resort. So ya'll come on down here and see this beautiful Southern treasure for yourselves, which my family and I have grown to love and cherish!
Sincerely,
Jessica Westray
Ride Royal Blue ATV Guest Resort is dedicated to families. As busy people in a fast-paced world, perhaps we may find a bit more comfort and peace in our lives if we occasionally bring our families together to listen to frogs croaking or coyotes howling in the night. Take a moment to consider that if we spent just a bit more time together wandering through the magnificent mountains connecting with the calls of nature, we could become better connected to our inner selves and the lives of those who are important to us.
